Alice Evans to Appear in ‘Grimm’ and More Casting News

A “Vampire Diaries” witch is heading to “Grimm.”

Alice Evans will appear in an episode of NBC’s “Grimm.” The former “Vampire Diaries” actress is set to play Mia, EW reports. Evans’ character had “ongoing relationship” with Capt. Renard.

“Grimm” returns on Aug. 13.

Penelope Ann Miller (Men of a Certain Age) is joining ‘Mistresses.’ Miller will recur as Sam’s (Erik Stocklin) mother, whose late husband had an affair with Yunjin Kim’s character. The drama is set to debut midseason. [EW

Jason Beghe (Californication) has joined the cast of NBC’s upcoming drama ‘Chicago Fire.’ Beghe will recur as Detective Hank Voight, a dangerous cop who will do anything to protect his delinquent son. [THR]

“Til Death” vet, Kat Foster has joined “The Goodwin Games” as a series regular. Foster will play Lucinda, a childhood sweetheart of one of the Goodwin boys. [TVLine]

Cee-Lo Green’s adviser for “The Voice” forthcoming season is Rob Thomas. Thomas is the frontman of the band Matchbox Twenty. Thomas joins previously announced advisers: Mary J. Blige (team Adam), and crooner Michael Buble (team Blake). Christan Aguilera’s adviser is yet to be announced.
