‘The Real Housewives of Miami’: Cast and Premiere Date Revealed

Real Housewives of Miami

Bravo’s “Housewives” franchise returns in Miami for a second season. The premiere date and new cast of the Sunshine state “Housewives” were announced earlier today .

The new housewives joining Lea Black, Adriana de Moura and Marysol Patton are Lisa Hochstein, Joanna Krupa, Ana Quincoces and Karent Sierra.

The cast includes:

  • Lisa Hochstein is a 29 year-old, married to the “boob god” plastic surgeon Dr. Lenny Hochstein. This self-proclaimed “professional housewife” has been featured on Playboy magazine.
  • Joanna Krupa, a native of Warsaw, Poland. Krupa is a model and actress who splits her time between Miami and Los Angeles. As a model she has appeared on various magazine covers including FHM, Shape and Playboy. Krupa has also hosted and judged on Poland’s “Next Top Model.” The housewife is engaged to Romain Zago.
  • Ana Quincoces, a successful business Cuban woman who “tells it like it is.” Quincoces  is a partner, celebrity chef and a mother of two.
  • Dr. Karent Sierra is Miami’s celebrity dentist who has been dating her telenovela boyfriend, Rodolfo Jiménez, for two and half years.

“The Real Housewives of Miami” is set to premiere Sept., 13 at 10/9 p.m. on Bravo.

 

Alice Evans to Appear in ‘Grimm’ and More Casting News

A “Vampire Diaries” witch is heading to “Grimm.”

Alice Evans will appear in an episode of NBC’s “Grimm.” The former “Vampire Diaries” actress is set to play Mia, EW reports. Evans’ character had “ongoing relationship” with Capt. Renard.

“Grimm” returns on Aug. 13.

Polly Walker will recur in “The Mentalist” as a senior, strong FBI agent. Walker is set to debut during the season premiere. [TVLine]

Penelope Ann Miller (Men of a Certain Age) is joining ‘Mistresses.’ Miller will recur as Sam’s (Erik Stocklin) mother, whose late husband had an affair with Yunjin Kim’s character. The drama is set to debut midseason. [EW

Jason Beghe (Californication) has joined the cast of NBC’s upcoming drama ‘Chicago Fire.’ Beghe will recur as Detective Hank Voight, a dangerous cop who will do anything to protect his delinquent son. [THR]

“Til Death” vet, Kat Foster has joined “The Goodwin Games” as a series regular. Foster will play Lucinda, a childhood sweetheart of one of the Goodwin boys. [TVLine]

Cee-Lo Green’s adviser for “The Voice” forthcoming season is Rob Thomas. Thomas is the frontman of the band Matchbox Twenty. Thomas joins previously announced advisers: Mary J. Blige (team Adam), and crooner Michael Buble (team Blake). Christan Aguilera’s adviser is yet to be announced.

‘Awkward’ Renewed For a Supersized Third Season

Things are not getting less ‘Awkward’ for MTV. The cable network’s scripted series ‘Awkward’ has been renewed.

The comedy series starring Ashley Rickards, Beau Mirchoff, and Brett Davern has been picked for a third season of 20 episodes.

“Lauren Iungerich’s creative vision, coupled with this extraordinarily talented cast, make ‘Awkward’ the perfect series for MTV,” said David Janollari, Head of MTV Programming in a statement. “Critics and our audience alike have fallen in love with ‘Awkward,’ and we’re thrilled to bring this terrific series back for a third, supersized season.”

“Awkward” currently airs on MTV, Thurs., at 10:30/9:30c p.m.
