“Veep” is an upcoming HBO comedy series, created by Armando Iannucci and Simon Blackwell. The series is based on BBC television series “The Thick of It.” “Seinfeld” and “The Adventures of Old Christine” veteran Julia Louis-Dreyfus returns to TV in this sassy, satire comedy as Selina Meyer, a former senator who becomes the Vice President of the United States, but soon realizes it is nothing like she expected. The first season will consist of eight-30 minutes episodes.

The series follows the former Senator’s “whirlwind day-to-day existence of the Vice President as she puts out political fires, juggles a busy public schedule, demanding private life, and defends the president’s interests, even as she tries to improve her dysfunctional relationship with the chief executive.”

Selina Meyer’s staff includes…

…Anna Chlumsky as Amy Brookheimer, Meyer’s chief of staff, Tony Hale as Gary Walsh, Meyer’s right hand man and body man, Timothy Simons as Jonah Ryan, a White House liason, Matt Walsh as Mike Mclintock, Meyer’s longtime press spokesperson, Sufe Bradshaw as Sue Wilson, VP’s secretary and Reid Scott as Dan Egan, an ambitious interloper.
