FOX Moves ‘Touch’ Season 2 Debut

Touch Season 2

Fox is moving “Touch’s” season 2 premiere date yet again.

The network revealed Wednesday, the second season of “Touch” will debut with a two-hour premiere on Fri., Feb 8 at 8/7c. Kiefer Sutherland stars in the drama series as Martin Bohm, a single father who protects his gifted son, Jake (David Mazouz) while on the run.

Meanwhile, freshman drama “The Mob Doctor” will air its final four episodes on Dec. 29, Dec. 31, Jan. 5 and Jan. 7. However, there is no word if the series has been cancelled.

Jayma Mays Joins ‘The League’ And More Casting News

Jayma Mays heads to “The League.”

According to TVLine, the “Glee” actress has joined “The League” for a multi-episode arc. However, little is known about her character.

But Mays will play an interior decorator on the comedy series.

Olympic snowboarder Shaun White has been tapped to guest-star as himself on Matthew Perry’s “Go On.” [TVLine]

Felicia Day will return to “Supernatural” during the current season as Charlie Bradbury. [TVLine]

Andrew Dunbar will portray Firefly, DC comics character on “Arrow.” [EW]

“7th Heaven” alum Stephen Collins has been cast to play a reporter on “Scandal.” [TVLine]

“The Mob Doctor” has booked Michael Madsen (“Reservoir Dogs”) and Jennifer Beals (“The L Word”) for multi-episode arcs. Madsen will portray a veteran criminal in need of surgery, while Beals will play a high-class madam who is William Forsythe’s Constantine ex flame. [TV Guide]

Abigail Spencer will reprise her role on “Suits.” Spencer plays Dana Scott, Harvey Scott’s rival lawyer. [TVLine]

Judith Light Joins ‘Dallas’ And More Casting News

Judith Light is moving to “Dallas.”

According to TVLine, Judith Light will recur as an “authoritative and controlling battle-ax who will fight to the death to protect the people she loves.” The “Who’s The Boss?” star recently guest starred on “The Exes” and recurs on “Law & Order: SVU.”

“Dallas” second season premieres on January 28, 2013 at 9 p.m. ET.

Paula Abdul will guest judge on “Dancing With the Stars: All Stars” on October 15.  [EW]

Morris Chestnut is joining “Nurse Jackie” for a season long arc. The “V” alum will play Dr. Ike Prentiss, a new trauma doctor and former Army medic who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. [Deadline]

Brie Larson will visit “Community.” The “United States of Tara” actress’ role has been tapped to guest star on the comedy series, but her role is being kept under wraps. [TVLine]

“Veronica Mars” vet Ryan Hansen has been cast to recur on “2 Broke Girls. Hansen will play Candy Andy, a potential love interest for Caroline (Beth Behrs). [EW]

Adrienne Barbeau has joined ABC’s “Revenge” as Victoria’s mother. [TVLine]

Tammy 2 is returning t0″Parks and Recreation.” Megan Mullally “Will & Grace” alumna will reprise her role as Ron’s (Nick Offerman) second ex-wife in this season’s ninth episode, titled “Ron and Diane.” [TV Guide]

Tim Meadows and Paula Newsome are heading to “Suburgatory.” Meadows and Newsome will play Malik’s parents. [TV Guide]

Currie Graham is guest starring on “Arrow” as King/Derek Reston, the leader of a crime syndicate. [THR]

Mike Starr is heading to “The Mob Doctor.” Starr, has been cast to play Sal, the Westside boss. [THR]

Doug Jones & ‘ER’ Alums Join ‘Falling Skies’ And More Casting News

“Falling Skies” season 3 doesn’t premiere until 2013 below are some interesting casting news.

According to EW, Doug Jones has been tapped to play the new humanized alien who was introduced at the second season finale of “Falling Skies.”

Also joining the cast of TNT’s Sci-fi drama are “ER” alums Gloria Reuben and Robert Sean Leonard.  Deadline reports, Leonard will portray Roger Kadar, PhD, a genius also know as “The Rat King.” Kadar runs Charleston’s power grid and lives underground with his pet rats.

Meanwhile, Gloria Reuben will play an intelligent woman with “political knowledge and experience [that] could prove extremely helpful to Tom.”

Both actors will recur in a five-episode arc of “Falling Skies”‘s upcoming season.

Maulik Pancholy, who starred as Neal on “Whitney” will reprise his role as Jack Donaghy’s (Alec Baldwin) assistant Jonathan on NBC comedy series “30 Rock.” [TV Guide]

Mädchen Amick will guest-star in The CW new series “Beauty and Beast.” The “Twin Peaks” vet will play Lois, a wealthy polo-club president. [TVLine]

Denise Richards has been cast as Gwen in “90210”‘s 100th episode. Gwen is described as a “sexy West Beverly High School Alum turned wealthy socialite.” [EW]

“Tank Girl” vet Tori Petty will cross paths with Fiona and Steve as Valerie in Showtime’s “Shameless.” [TV Guide]

The Campaign star, Thomas Middleditch has been cast as Jeb, Dwight’s younger brother on “The Office, TVLine reports. In addition, Matt Jones has been tapped to play Dwight’s mysterious cousin Zeke. [THR]

“The West Wing” alum, Timothy Busfield has landed a guest role on Fox’s new crime drama, “The Mob Doctor.” Busfield is set to guest star as John Ellis, s a dirty congressman. Joining the TV vet in a guest role is “Friday Night Lights” alum Jurnee Smollett. She will play a pregnant prostitute. [TV Guide]

“Men at Work” has tapped Maz Jobrani (Better Off Ted) to appear as an owner of a Lebanese chicken restaurant who becomes Gibbs’ friend. [TVLine]

Brooklyn Silzer is set to Lucy, Danny and Lindsay’s daughter on “CSI: NY.” Twins Nadia and Talia Hartounian previously played Lucy. [TV Guide]

‘Reed Between the Lines’ Casts Three Series Regulars And More Casting News

Three series regulars are joining BET’s “Reed Between the Lines.”

THR reports, Tony Rock, Charlie Robinson and Michole White have been booked to join the series. Tony Rock is set to play Julius Darren, Alex’s (Malcolm-Jamal Warner) oldest friend who appears to give Alex unwanted marriage advice.

Additionally, Alex’s friend Simone Winters will be portrayed by Michole White.  Winters is a single doctor, who is sick of hearing how she intimidates men.

Lastly, Charlie Robinson has been cast as Alex’s father, Monroe Reed.

“Reed Between the Lines” returns next year.

In other casting news…

Tina Majorino will guest-star on Abc drama “Grey’s Anatomy.” The “Veronica Mars” alum will play an intern named Heather at Seattle Grace or at another hospital. [TV Guide]

Peri Gilpin and Sarah Wright Head to ‘Men at Work’ And More Casting News

Peri Gilpin and Sarah Wright will star on “Men at Work.”

According to TVLine, “Frasier” alum Peri Gilpin will play Alex a recurring role, who is the new boss with unorthodox methods at Full Steam magazine, where the four friends work.

TBS’ ‘Men At Work’ Renewed

Meanwhile, Sarah Wright will guest-star in the second season premiere. Wright will play a “missed connection” for Milo (Danny Masterson). Additionally, Stephanie Lemelin (Rachel) will return for a two-episode arc.

“Men at Work”  returns 2013 on TBS.

Pablo Schreiber (A Gifted Man) will guest star in an upcoming episode of “White Collar.” Schreiber will appear as JB Bellmiere, a volatile avant-guarde artist. [TVLine]

Brandon W. Jones will play Andrew Jones, a senior on “Pretty Little Liars.”  [E! Online]

EW reports “24” alum has been cast to star on “The Mob Doctor.” Shohreh Aghdashloo will recur as Dr. Jayana Baylor, a beautiful and passionate legendary cardiothoracic specialist.

Busy Philipps to Guest-Star on “Don’t Trust the B—- In Apartment 23”

Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Frankie Muniz will guest-star as themselves on the upcoming season of “Don’t Trust the B—- In Apartment 23.” [EW]

Daniel Sunjata (Rescue Me) is joining “Smash” in a recurring role. The “Rescue Me” alum will play Julia’s (Debra Messing) love interest. [EW]

 

 

 

Casting Scoop: ‘The Voice,’ ‘Mob Doctor’ and More

On the upcoming third season of “The Voice,” Adam Levine’s group will be getting some advice from Mary J. Blige.

Rolling Stone reports, the R&B singer has joined Adam Levine’s team as an adviser. Mary J. Blige commented, “I love Adam, he’s amazing. I’m so happy to be working with him and his team.” Just last week Micheal Buble joined Blake Shelton’s team, the remaining advisers are yet to be announced.

“The Voice” is set to premiere Mon, Sept 10 at 8/7c on NBC.

More casting news!

Kevin Corrigan is joining FOX’s new drama series, “The Mob Doctor,” EW reports. The “Fringe” alum will recur as Titus Amato, “a clean-cut, business-casual mobster.” The Hollywood Reporter reports, Terry Kinney is also joining the series. The actor will play Salvatore, Amato’s brother.

A new young doctor will grace the halls of Seattle Grace. “Friday Night Lights” alum Gaius Charles will recur in Season 9 of “Grey’s Anatomy.” Charles will play a young doctor, however TVLine reports information of his character are still under wraps.

Ryan Rottman has joined “The Lying Game” in a recurring role. TVGuide reports Rottman will play Jordan, a handsome, confident teen  with a secret agenda, from Beverly Hills. “90210” alum is set to appear in the second season premiere.

Fall Scoop: Fox Reveals Its Premiere Dates

 

Fox fall will debut with “The X Factor” in Sept. The singing competition, which premieres with new judges (Britney Spears and Demi Lovato) kick things off with a two night premiere on Sept 12. The second night premiere airs Sept 13 followed by the a new episode of “Glee,” which returns on a new night and time, Thurs., 9/8c p.m.

“New Girl” starts off Tuesday’s comedy block with a special episode. Leading in new series “Ben and Kate,” and “The Mindy Project.” While, “Raising Hope” premieres a week later. Kiefer Sutherland’s new drama, “Touch” rounds off the schedule with a late second season premiere.

Fox 2012-2013 Schedule Announced: New Tuesday Comedy Block, ‘Touch’ Moves To Fri., And More.

This fall’s schedule keeps getting better and better. FOX is the next network to announce its fall/spring primetime lineup, and the second network to shake things up.

The shocker? “Glee” moves to Thursdays following “X Factor” (Fall) and “American Idol” (midseason). “Touch,” drama series starring Keifer Sutherland also moves to a new night, Fridays. Will you watch “Glee” and “Touch” on their new night?

Two new dramas “The Following” and “The Mob Doctor”, and three new comedies “The Mindy Project,” “Ben And Kate,” “The Goodwin Games” will premiere on FOX this fall/spring. “The Mindy Project,” “Ben And Kate,” “The Mob Doctor,” all debut this fall.
