Fall TV: NBC Sets Premiere Dates For ‘Blacklist,’ ‘Voice’ and More

The Peacock network revealed its 2014 all lineup earlier today.

The second season premiere of NBC’s “The Blacklist” debuts Mon., Set 22 following the season premiere of “The Voice.” “The Voice” later moves to its regular time slot on Tues., Oct 14.

Meanwhile, new series “Constantine” doesn’t bow out until October 24, following “Grimm” season debut.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Renewed, Alison Sweeney to Leave Soap Series

NBC renews “Days of Our Lives.” The Soap series has been renewed for two years — through Sept. 2016, NBC revealed Wednesday.

“”Days of Our Lives” continues to be a fan favorite for the daytime audience and we are thrilled to keep it going through its 50th season,” NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke said in a statement. “Days has shown year-to-year increases in key female demographics and remains both relevant and fresh creatively due to the hard work of the producers, writers, cast and crew who have worked tirelessly to make Days the ratings success it is today.”

Alison-Sweeney to leave days of our time

More “Days of Our Lives” news, Alison Sweeney, who has played Sami Brady for 21 years is leaving the daytime soap.

Sweeney announced her decision on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” saying: ”I’m celebrating my 21st year … and I decided that it’s going to be my last year with the show,” she says. “I have worked so much, and my daughter just turned 5 and my son is 9, and I just want to be with them.”

“The Biggest Loser” host is expected to leave the series at the end of the season.

Netflix Adds ‘New Girl,’ Fred Armisen Leaving ‘SNL’ And More

ABC has renewed “Extreme Weight Loss” for a 13-episode fourth season.

Fred Armisen is indeed leaving “Saturday Night Live.” [Splitsider]

Jess is heading to Netflix. The online streaming company has landed the exclusive U.S. streaming rights to “New Girl.” Season 1 of the Fox comedy series will be made available this Monday, with subsequent seasons hitting the streaming site following their broadcast runs. [EW]

‘Community’ Season 4 Premiere, Midseason Series Premiere Dates Announced

Community Fourth season premiere annouced

Good news “Community” fans! The long-delayed fourth season of “Community” has a premiere date. NBC announced today, the comedy series will premiere Thursday, Feb. 7 at 8 p.m. ET.

The peacock network also revealed the debut dates if its midseason series.

New series: “Deception” formerly “Infamous” starring Meagan Good (“Think Like a Man”), debuts on Mon., January 7 at 10/9c; “1600 Penn” kicks off on January 10 at 9:30/8:30c; and Eva Longoria’s “Ready for Love” premieres Sunday, March 31 at 8/7c.

Returning series: “The Biggest Loser” kicks off with a two night premiere on Sunday, January 6 at 9/8c, and Monday, January 7 at 8/7c; “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers” premieres on Tuesday, January 8 with an hour of laughs starting at 8/7c; “Smash”sophomore season will debut with a two-hour episode on Tue., Feb, 5 at 9/8c, then moves to its regular time Feb, 12 at 10/9c; “The Celebrity Apprentice: All-Star” begins March 3 at 9/8c; “The Voice” returns for a fourth season with Shakira and Usher as coaches beginning March 25 at 8/7c and Tuesday, March 26 8/7c; while “Revolution” returns March 25 at 10/9c after it winter hiatus.

Meanwhile, “Parks and Recreation” moves up an hour starting Jan, 17 at 8:30/7:30c.

Jillian Michaels Returns to ‘The Biggest Loser’

Jillian Michaels will return to the “The Biggest Loser” next January to fight childhood obesity.

NBC announced today, the fourteenth season of “The Biggest Loser” will feature adults contestant and kid participants between the ages of 13-17, however the young teens won’t compete for the titular prize.

For the first time ever, the upcoming season will tackle childhood obesity epidemic, with the help of Michaels, Harper and Quince.

The contestants will be divided into three teams and coached by the “Losers'” trainers. In addition, at least a teen will be paired with a team. The children, who are ineligible for elimination will compete with and contribute to their respective teams.

Michaels, the new mother of two said in a statement, “as a former overweight teen, I know firsthand how dramatically weight issues can affect every aspect of a child’s life. Having recently become a mother of two, I am more passionate than ever about helping empower children and families with the information and resources they need to live a healthier life.”
