FOX Renews ‘Sleepy Hollow’ for Season 3

There will be more Headless Huntmen hunting “Sleepy Hollow.”

FOX announced Wednesday, the thriller series has been renewed for a thrid season of 18-episodes under new showrunner Clifton Campbell (“The Glades” creator).

“‘Sleepy Hollow’ is truly inventive television,” said David Madden, Fox entertainment president. “The talented producers – led by Alex, Bob, Len and Heather – along with the brilliant cast, anchored by Nicole and Tom, have created a fantastic world that brings ‘history’ to life with compelling and vibrant storytelling.”

Adding: “I had the pleasure of working with Clifton on both ‘The Glades’ and ‘White Collar.’ He is an excellent producer, and we can’t wait to see what this team has in store for Season 3.”

FOX Fall TV Lineup: ‘Utopia’ Receives Three-Night Premiere

Fox unveils 2014 Fall lineup.

The network is kicking off its fall season with a three-night series premiere of reality series “Utopia.”

“Utopia” follows fifteen strangers as they leave their everyday lives and move to an isolated, undeveloped location – for an entire year – where they are challenged to create their own civilization from scratch.

Meanwhile, “Red Band Society” debuts Sep. 17, while “Gotham” premieres Mon., Sep. 22.

Cinemax Renews ‘Banshee,’ Lori Petty Joins ‘Orange Is The New Black’ And More!

Cinemax has ordered a third season of “Banshee.” The network announced Thursday, the upcoming season 3 for a 2015 premiere.

“Haven” has been renewed for a fifth season of 26 episodes. The season will be split 13 episodes this fall, and the remaining 13 in 2015.

Lori Petty will guest star on the second season of  “Orange Is the New Black.” The actress’ character details are being kept under warps.

“Sleepy Hollow” promotes John Noble and Lyndie  Greenwood to series regulars ahead of season 2.

Bravo renews “Top Chef” for a 12th season, which is expected to debut this Fall.

Fox makes some schedule changes.

Freshman drama series “Sleepy Hollow” will wrap up its first series with a two-hour finale.

The network announced Friday, “Sleepy Hollow,” which was originally scheduled for a one-hour finale on Jan. 20, will now receive a two-hour on the 20.

Kevin Bacon’s “The Following” sophomore season will premiere on Sunday, Jan. 19, then the series moves to its regular night on  Monday until Jan. 27 at 9/8c p.m.

In other Fox news, freshman comedy series “Dads,” season order has been trimmed down from 22 – 19 episodes.

Showtime Renews ‘Inside Comedy,’ ‘Revolution’ Adds Bret Michaels And More!

Showtime has renewed “Inside Comedy” for a third season, which will debut on Sunday, Feb. 2, with guest stars Jimmy Fallon, Zach Galifianakis, Jonah Hill, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bette Midler and Dick Van Dyke.

Louis C.K., the star of “Louie” has signed  an overall deal with FX Productions, which the comedian will develop and exec-produce pilots for both FX and FXX, with an option to write or direct the projects. [Variety]

Bret Michaels will play a post-apocalyptic version of himself on “Revolution.” [EW]

“Sleepy Hollow” books Victor Garber as Ichabod Crane’s father. [TVLine]

“The Walking Dead” is set to return Feb., 9 on AMC.

‘Sleepy Hollow’ Renewed For Second Season

The freshman series, “Sleepy Hollow” has been picked up for a second season of 13-episodes, Fox announced Thursday.

This new series starring Tom Mison, Nicole Beharie, Katia Winters and Orlando Jones is the first new series to be picked up for a sophomore season.

“The show has proven to be a risk well worth taking – it’s a conceptual blast unlike anything else on television and it all holds together with inventive writing and a fantastic cast,” said Fox Entertainment Chief Kevin Reilly. “I can’t wait for fans to experience what else is in store for this fall and even more of this wild ride into Season Two.”

“Sleepy Hollow” airs Monday at 9/8c on Fox.

Fall TV: ‘X Factor’ And ‘Bones’ Launch Fox’s Fall Programming

Fox announce fall premiere dates Wednesday.

Unlike CBSThe CW and NBC, Fox premiere week begins Sept. 11. Kicking things off for the network is singing competition “The  X Factor,” with a two-night season premiere. Returning series “Bones” premieres Sept. 16, then moves to Fridays beginning Nov. 8.

Meanwhile, hit show “The Following,” “American Idol,” and new series “Rake,” “Gang Related,” “Surviving Jack,” “Us & Them” and “Murder Police” premiere during midseason.
