‘Army Wives’ Books Torrey DeVitto, Ashanti, As Series Regulars, ’30 Rock’ Series Finale Air date Announced And More

Army Wives Adds 3 New Faces

“Army Wives” is adding three new faces to the base. Torrey DeVitto , Ashanti, and Elle McLemore have been cast as series regulars on the drama series.

According to Deadline.com, “Vampire Diaries” star Torrey DeVitto will play Maggie Hall, a sexy and smart Ex-Army Airborne, who is married to a Staff Sergeant with a teen daughter.

R&B singer Ashanti joins the series as Latasha Durant, a sexy, fun mother of three, while McLemone has been tapped to portray Holly Gordon, a lonely and homesick newly wed.

Production of the upcoming season is set to begin in mid-December.

Zach Braff to Reunite with Donald Faison on ‘The Exes’ And More Casting News

“The Exes”  will host a “Scrubs” reunion.

Zach Braff and former co-star Donald Faison will reunite on an upcoming episode of TV Land’s “The Exes.” (cue music)

According to THR, Braff will play Chuck Feeney, a pro tennis player and client of Donald Faison’s character. Feeney was further described as a ladies man who turns out to be more of a “man’s man.” Braff is set to appear on the Aug. 29 episode.

Faison and Braff previously appeared as BFFs Turk and J.D. on “Scrubs.”

“The Exes” airs Wednesdays at 10:30 p.m. on TV Land.

Alan Dale will appear in two episodes as Emmett an actor who has a thing for Victoria Chase (Wendie Malick) on “Hot in Cleveland.” [TV Guide]

Wendi McLendon-Covey has been cast to guest-star on “Modern Family.” The Bridesmaids actress and Michaela Watkins (SNL) will play a lesbian couple whose son gets into a fight with Lily on the first day of kindergarten. [EW]

Jenny Slate (SNL) has been booked to play Joan, a social worker who checks Hope’s living conditions on “Raising Hope.” [TVLine]

Craig Bierko (Boston Legal) and Molly Price (Third Watch) are set to guest-star in CBS’ upcoming drama, “Elementary.” Bierko will play Fowkes, a COO of Wall Street financial firm who is involved in a murder investigation.
