‘Saturday Night Live:’ Taraji P. Henson & Michael Keaton to Host


Fan favorite Cookie from “Empire” is heading to Studio 8H.

Taraji P. Henson, the “Empire” actress will take hosting reigns on April 11 with second-time musical guest Mumford & Sons, “Saturday Night Live” announced Thursday. The installation will mark Henson’s debut on “SNL.”

Michael Keaton heads to SNL

Also making her “SNL” debut is Carly Rae Jepsen. The singer will her musical guest debut on the April 4th, with “Birdman” Michael Keaton returning as a third time host.

Louis C.K. will return to Studio 8H on March 29. NBC revealed the casting news during Lena Dunham’s stint as host on March 8.

Lena Dunham will host “Saturday Night Live” on March 8. NBC announced Tuesday, the “Girls” creator and star will mark her “SNL” debut alongside musical guest The National.

Comedy Central has renewed “Broad City” for a second season.

“Entourage” is heading to the theaters. Warner Bros. has set a release date for its “Entourage” movie of June 12, 2015.

HBO renews “Getting On,” which stars Laurie Metcalf, Alex Borstein and Niecy Nash for a second season of six episodes.

Lifetime announced drama series “Drop Dead Diva” has been cancelled.

Bazinga! Jim Parson will host “Saturday Night Live” on Saturday, March 1, when the sketch series returns from hiatus. This will be “The Big Bang Theory” star debut on “SNL.”

Patrick Fabian is joining “Grey’s Anatomy.” The actor will recur as a pediatric surgeon who arrives to help Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. TVGuide

Hugh Jackman has been tapped to host Tony Awards for the fourth time, live on Sunday, June 8.

John Leguizamo will guest-star on “The Good Wife” as the new Cook County State’s Attorney. The “EW” star’s character, is described as a well-liked leader intent on making the State’s Attorney’s office fair for everybody. E! Online

Melissa McCarthy has been tapped to host “Saturday Night Live” during the Super Bowl weekend. [Variety]

“Mad Men” will debut the first half of its final season on Sunday, April 13 at 10/9c.

“Devious Maids” season two debuts on Sunday, April 20, at 10/9c p.m. on Lifetime.

Lindsay Lohan’s docu-series, “Lindsay,” will premiere Sunday, March 9 at 10 p.m. on OWN.

“Awkward” will premiere its season 4 with a special one-hour on Tuesday, April 15, a 10/9c.

Jonah Hill to Host ‘Saturday Night Live’

Jonah Hill has been tapped host “Saturday Night Live.”

The Wolf of Wall Street actor will host “Saturday Night Live” for his third time on Jan. 25, NBC announced Monday. Hill will be joined by U.K. band Bastille, making their “SNL” debut.

Previously announced, Drake will pull double duty on Jan. 18, as musical guest and host.

Crackle renews Jerry Seinfeld’s “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” for a third season.

Gail O’Grady will play Conrad’s ex-wife on “Revenge.” The “NYPD Blue” alum is described as “West Coast posh” woman who unexpectedly appears in the Hamptons.  [E! Online]

Jimmy Fallon to Host ‘Saturday Night Live’


Jimmy Fallon is returning to host “SNL” with fan favorite Justin Timberlake as his musical guest, NBC announced Thursday.

Fallon will return to Studio 8H on Saturday, Dec. 21. It will be Timberlake’s fifth time as a musical guest, and Fallon’s second time as a host.

Meanwhile, Anchorman 2, Paul Rudd will host the Dec. 7 episode of “Saturday Night Live” with musical guest One Direction.

In addition, John Goodman will host “SNL” for the 13th time on Dec. 14. The Kings of Leon will be the musical guest during Goodman’s show.

“Saturday Night Live” airs Saturdays on NBC.

ABC has renewed “Extreme Weight Loss” for a 13-episode fourth season.
