‘Orange Is The New Black’ Season 2 Premiere Announced, ‘Ravenswood’ Cancelled And More!

ABC Family cancels “Ravenswood” after one season. The network revealed Saturday, it has decided to cancel the “Pretty Little Liars” spin-off series.

‘Bones’ Adds Mather Zickel & Freddie Prinze Jr. And More Casting News

Mather Zickel, “House of Lies” actor has joined “Bones'” forthcoming season. Zickel is joining the ninth season as Aldo Coulter, an ex-priest who has a history with Booth (David Boreanaz).

Aldo Coulter was Booth’s “ex-confessor when he was a sniper in the Rangers,” according to TVLine.

In addition, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” alum Freddie Prinze Jr. has been booked in a (potential) multi-episode arc opposite Booth. TVLine reports.

Prinze will play Danny, an armed and dangerous CIA covert agent, who is an old associate of Booth’s.

“Alphas” actor Warren Christie will appear in the second episode of the coming season of “Castle” as Brad Parker, a reporter who discovers implications for national security.  [EW] Meanwhile, “24” vet  Michael Reed, will guest star as a former general who’s fighting to keep secrets from his past under wraps. Henry Winkler, “Happy Days” vet has been cast on “Parks and Rec.” The actor has been booked for a guest appearance as Jean-Ralphio’s father on season 6 premiere. [The Hollywood Reporter]

“Pretty Little Liars” actress Vanessa Ray is joining “Blue Bloods.” The actress has been cast as Edit “Eddie” Janko, a rookie cop who is Jamie Reagan’s “fresh” new partner. [TVLine]

Merritt Wever will be return to “New Girl” for at least two episodes. “Nurse Jackie” actress will reprise her role as Elizabeth, Schmidt’s college girlfriend and current girlfriend as of the season finale. [EW]

ABC Family Summer Schedule Announced: ‘Pretty Little Liars,’ ‘Switched at Birth’ And Four News Series Premiere Date Revealed

ABC Family has revealed it summer schedule, which features four new series “Dancing Fools,” family drama “The Fosters,” mystery drama “Twisted” and docu-soap “The Vineyard.”

Returning series “Melissa & Joey,” “Baby Daddy,” “Switched at Birth”and “Pretty Little Liars” return with all new episodes.

“Dancing Fools,” the half-hour comedy clip show features the funniest, most outrageous and memorable dances caught on camera. The dancers from the top two clips of the week compete on stage for a chance to win $10,000. The series is hosted by Melissa Peterman, who also stars in ABC Family’s “Baby Daddy” and in the upcoming ABC reality series “Bet on Your Baby.”

“The Fosters,” centers on two moms (Teri Polo and Sherri Saum) raising a multi-ethnic family mix of foster and biological kids. The series also stars Jake T. Austin, Hayden Byerly, David Lambert, Maia Mitchell, Danny Nucci and Cierra Ramirez.

“Twisted,” is a one-hour mystery full of twists and turns that is centered on a charismatic 16-year-old with a troubled past (Avan Jogia) who has recently reconnected with his two female best friends from childhood (Maddie Hasson and Kylie Bunbury). He becomes the prime suspect when a fellow student is found dead in her home. The series also stars Kimberly Quinn, Sam Robards, Ashton Moio and Denise Richards.

“The Vineyard,” is a dramatic coming-of-age docu-soap that follows a handful of 20-somethings on Martha’s Vineyard for the summer. Tight quarters, new friends and new rivals, all living, working and playing together, make this picturesque playground ripe for mischief and romance.

‘Teen Wolf’ Alum Colton Hayes Joins ‘Arrow’ And More Casting News

Colton Haynes is joining “Arrow.” The “Teen Wolf” actor has landed a recurring role on the CW drama series.

The actor joins freshman drama series as Roy Harper, a “handsome, street-savvy” teen who falls for Thea, Oliver’s sister, according to TV Guide.

‘Arrow’ Casts ‘Spartacus’ Actor

In DC Comics, Roy becomes Green Arrow’s sidekick, Speedy. The character has also gone by the names of Red Arrow and Arsenal.

Hayes, who recently departed ‘Teen Wolf’ in early October, will make his first appearance in 2013.

“X-Files” alum Gillian Anderson will appear on NBC’s “Hannibal.”Anderson will play the personal therapist of Dr. Hannibal Lecter’s (Mads Mikkelsen) in a three-episode arc. [EW]

Billy Campbell, who played Seattle city councilman-turned-paralyzed Mayor Darren Richmond, on AMC’s “The Killing” will not be returning for the AMC series’ third season. [Variety]

“Bunheads” has tapped Hunter Foster, Sutton Foster’s real-life brother, as Michelle’s sibling. Foster will appear in a multi-episode arc beginning Jan. 28. [ET Online]

Buckle up for safety, because four ABC Family original series are returning sooner than you think.

The cabler announced today, its winter premiere dates of “Switched At Birth,” “The Lying Game,” “Bunheads” and “Pretty Little Liars.”

ABC Family Picks Up ‘Pretty Little Liars’ For Season 4.

After its forthcoming Halloween special, which airs Tues., Oct. 23 at 8 p.m. ET, “Pretty Little Liars” will return for the second half of its third season on Tues., Jan. 8 at 8 p.m. ET. The forthcoming episodes will pick up when Mona has been released from Radley and is headed back to Rosewood, much to Aria, Spencer, Emily and Hanna’s dismay.

“Switched at Birth” second season premieres Monday, Jan. 7th at 8 p.m. ET. “This season sees dramatic changes in the lives of the Kennish and Vasquez families as a result of the verdict in the baby switch trial.”

While “Bunheads” returns with all-new episodes on Monday, Jan. 7th at 9 ET. The upcoming episodes will pick up a couple of months after Michelle has left Paradise to try and return to her former life in Las Vegas.

Lastly, “The Lying Game” season 2 will debut on Tuesday, January 8th, 9 p.m. ET. The saga will continue as Rebecca, Sutton and Emma’s birth mother “lures Sutton into her plans for the Mercer family. Emma grows closer to Thayer, while still being drawn to Ethan, who has started to reconnect with Sutton. Kristin feels betrayed after Ted came clean about his long ago affair with Rebecca, but Ted might be hiding even more shocking revelations. And Mads connects with a mysterious new guy in town who brings a whole new level of secrets with him.”

The whole clan is returning to “Gossip Girl.”

It appears Taylor Momsen and Connor Paolo, who currently stars on “Revenge” are returning to “Gossip Girl” for the series finale.

Kelly Rutherford tweeted a photo of Momsen and Paolo on set.

Earlier last week, EW reported Katie Cassidy who played Juliet Sharp “Gossip Girl” will reprise her role for the series finale.

Pretty Little Liars Season 4

ABC Family’s hit drama “Pretty Little Liars” has been renewed for a fourth season. The fourth season of 24 episodes is slated to air mid 2013, the network announced today.

The series will air a special Halloween-themed episode on Tues, Oct. 23rd at 8/7c, as part of ABC Family’s “13 Nights of Halloween.” The second half of the third season is expected to return in January 2013.

‘Hawaii Five-0’ Casts T.I. And More Casting News

Big names are coming to “Hawaii Five-0.”

Rapper T.I. joins previously announced Terrence Howard and Kendall Jenner as a guest star in the forthcoming season of “Hawaii Five-0.”

TVLine reports, the rapper is set to play a crime offender who appears via flashback in an Oct. episode.

Additionally, Arielle Kebbel (90210) and Robbie Amell (Revenge) have been booked to guest star in the CBS drama. According to TVLine, Kebbel and Amell are set to portray a couple who pays a fortune-teller a visit and faces “devastating consequences.”

“Hawaii Five-0” returns Mon., Sept 24 on CBS.

In other casting news…

Tessa Ferrer has been cast to recur in “Grey’s Anatomy.” Little is known about the actress’ character, but we are guessing Ferrer will intern at the another hospital. [TVLine]

Malin Akerman has been booked to appear in “Suburgatory” as Tessa’s mother. The Rock of Ages star is set to appear in the Thanksgiving and Christmas episodes of the upcoming season. [EW]

According to TVLine, “Frasier” alum Peri Gilpin will play Alex a recurring role, who is the new boss with unorthodox methods at Full Steam magazine, where the four friends work.

TBS’ ‘Men At Work’ Renewed

Meanwhile, Sarah Wright will guest-star in the second season premiere. Wright will play a “missed connection” for Milo (Danny Masterson). Additionally, Stephanie Lemelin (Rachel) will return for a two-episode arc.

“Men at Work”  returns 2013 on TBS.
