Ron Livingston Heads to Boardwalk Empire

Ron Livingston is heading to “Boardwalk Empire.”

According to Entertainment Weekly,  the “Sex and the City” actor has been cast as a series regular on the HBO series.

Livingston will be playing a wealthy businessman who comes to town and gets attention from Gillian Darmody (Gretchen Mol).

The Hunger Games actress has been booked to host the sketch comedy. Lawrence will make her “Saturday Night Live” hosting debut on the Jan. 19.

“Everwood” alum Treat Williams is joining “Chicago Fire.”

According to TV Guide, Williams will play Benny Severide, the father of Lt. Severide (Taylor Kinney). Benny is described as a “tough guy who also used to work as a fireman.” Williams has been cast to appear in multiple episodes.

“Chicago Fire” airs Wednesdays on NBC.

‘Nashville’ Receives Full Season Pick Up

 Nashville Receives Full Season Order

Freshman drama “Nashville” has been picked up for a full season.

ABC announced Monday, the drama starring Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere has received a full season order. According to the network, “Nashville” is No. 1 in its time period among Adults 18-49 (3.2/9).

The drama joins previously announced full seasons pick ups of ‘The Neighbors’ and ‘Scandal’. Additionally, ABC ordered more scripts of “Malibu Country” and “Last Man Standing.”

“Nashville” airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on ABC.

‘Game of Thrones’ Enlists Coldplay’s Drummer And More Casting News

“Game of Thrones” is adding a drummer.

Coldplay’s drummer Will Champion has been cast in the upcoming season of the HBO series, EW reports. Champion will play a drummer in the drama series. 

“Game of Thrones” returns March 31.

Michael J. Fox & T.R. Knight to Appear on ‘Good Wife’ And More Casting News

Michael J. Fox is heading to Lockhart/Gardner again.

According to TVLine, the actor will reprise his role as Louis Canning — the head of Lockhart/Gardner’s rival law firm — on “The Good Wife.” Fox is set to appear on the series’ eleventh episode, which is set to air in January 2013.

Also heading to the law firm is “Grey’s Anatomy’s” T.R. Knight.

Knight, who played Dr. George O’Malley on ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” has been cast to guest-star as a political operative on the drama series, EW reports.

Wyclef Jean will be visiting “Nashville.” Jean will play the head of a music label on the new ABC drama. [THR]

“The House of Payne’s” J.R. Ramirez has joined “Emily Owens, M.D.” in a recurring role. Ramirez will play a confident doctor named AJ, who returns to the hospital after a leave of absence. [TV Guide]

Laurie Metcalf “Roseanne” vet will appear in a multi-episode arc on Fox’s new comedy series “The Goodwin Games.” Metcalf will play Scott Foley’s character’s boss, Dr. Richland, who makes a surprise suggestion to get Foley’s character back on track at work. [TVLine]

Fall TV: Watch ‘Nashville’ Pilot Online

“Nashville” series debut might be a week away, but thanks to Hulu, the pilot is available online now.

Every network, including ABC has shared its fall pilots online a few weeks before their debut. “Last Resort’s” pilot was released a couple weeks ago via Yahoo, therefore releasing “Nashville’s” pilot a week before its series debut is no surprise.

Connie Britton (“Friday Night Lights,” “American Horror Story”), Hayden Panettiere (“Heroes”), Charles Esten (“Enlightened,” “Big Love”), Eric Close (“Without a Trace”) and Clare Bowen star in one of the most anticipated new drama series.

Connie Britton plays a legendary country queen, Rayna Jaymes, whose music career is slipping away. In order to be number one once again, her producers offer her to work with Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere), the sassy, young and sexy newcomer of country music. Can these two divas work together. Watch the pilot below.

“Nashville” premieres Oct. 10 at 10/9c on ABC.

Fall Scoop: ABC Premiere Dates Announced

 

It took forever, but ABC just announced its premiere dates for it fall TV schedule.

Premiering early are “Shark Tank,” “What Would You Do?,” and “20/20.” Most-buzzed about upcoming reality series “Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars” kicks off Sept., 24. Meanwhile, new series “Malibu Country” premieres late on November 2.
