Rob Kazinsky Joins ‘True Blood’

According to Deadline, Robert Patrick has been promoted to a series regular on the drama series. Patrick played Alcide’s (Joe Manganiello) father on HBO’s vampire series “True Blood.”

The “X Flies” vet recently starred on ABC’s ill-fated “Last Resort.”

“Brooklyn Decker is heading to “The League.” Decker has been cast to play Gina Gibiatti, Frank “The Body” Gibiatti’s (Ike Barinholtz) younger sister. Gina was also a “mean girl” in high school. [EW]

ABC Drops ‘Last Resort’ And ‘666 Park Avenue’

 

Last Resort Cancelled

ABC has cancelled freshmen series “Last Resort” and “666 Park Avenue.”

Scott Speedman, and Andre Braugher starred in ABC “Last Resort” is averaging 7.3 million total viewers and a 1.7 in the 18-49 demo, According to THR.

The site reports, the network will finish airing the original 13-episode orders for both shows.

It is a big disappointment “Last Resort” did not receive the full season order. However, ‘Nashville’ and ‘The Neighbors’ have been picked up for full seasons.

Dylan Walsh Joins ‘Revenge’ And More Casting News

Dylan Walsh is heading to “Revenge.”

The “Nip/Tuck” alum has booked a multi-episode arc on the drama series.

Walsh who recently starred on CBS “Unforgettable” as Al Burns will play Jason Prosser, Conrad Grayson’s rival hedge fund manager.

“Revenge” airs Sundays at 9/8c on ABC.

“Go On” has promoted the Cat lady. Sarah Baker, who plays Sonia on the comedy series has been promoted to a series regular. [Deadline]

Billy Dee Williams (“Star Wars”) has been tapped to play himself on “Modern Family.” Additionally, Nathan Lane, who currently recurs on “The Good Wife” will reprise his role as Pepper, Cam and Mitch’s friend on the ABC comedy series. [EW]

Kyle MacLachlan (“Desperate Housewives”) will appear on “The Good Wife” in a multi-episode arc. Details surrounding his character are scare, but the “Sex and the City” alum will appear opposite Alan Cumming, who plays Eli Gold. [EW]

Brandon T. Jackson has booked a role on “Beverly Hills Cop.” Jackson will play Axel Foley’s (Eddie Murphy) son Aaron, in the CBS pilot. [THR]

‘Revolution’ Taps a ‘Taken’ Actor And More Casting News

Leland Orser joins revolution

NBC’s “Revolution” cast “Taken” and “Sons of Anarchy” actors.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Leland Orser, who starred in the “Taken” franchise has been tapped to play John Samborn on the drama series. Samborn is described as a “tense scientist who loves to build weapons.”

Meanwhile, “Sons of Anarchy” actor Patrick St. Esprit, will play a tough rebel leader, named Wayne Ramsey, EW reports.

Both actors are join the series in possible recurring roles.

“Revolution” airs Mondays, at 10 p.m. on NBC.

TV Weekly News: ‘Copper’ Renewed, ‘666 Park Ave’ ‘Last Resort’ & ‘Mindy Project’ Receive Additional Episodes Orders And More!

Copper Renewed

BBC first original series “Copper” has been renewed for a second season.

“Copper,” from executive producers Barry Levinson and Tom Fontana, has been picked up for a sophomore season of 13 episodes, that is three more episodes than the first season.

“BBC America’s first original scripted series, “Copper,” has proven to be a perfect fit for the channel,” said BBC Worldwide America GM Perry Simon. “Our viewers have made it our highest-rated series premiere ever and highest-rated drama series ever.”

The first season finale airs this Sunday on BBC America.

Fall TV: Watch ‘Last Resort’ Pilot Online

The “Last Resort”‘s pilot has been released online two weeks before the series debuts!

“Last Resort” follows a U.S. nuclear submarine Captain Marcus Chaplin (Andre Braugher) who refuses an order to destroy the country of Pakistan without confirmation. As the submarine becomes an enemy of the country, Chaplin decides to go rogue, and take refuge on an exotic island as he attempts to clear his and his crew names and return home.

The series stars Andre Braugher as Capt. Marcus Chaplin, Scott Speedman, Daisy Betts, Dichen Lachman, Daniel Lissing, and Sahr Ngaujah as Mayor Julian Serrat.

Vinessa Shaw and Michael Wiseman Head to ‘Vegas’ And More Casting News

CBS’ new fall drama series “Vegas” has booked two recurring characters.

Vinessa Shaw and Michael Wiseman (The Closer) have been cast in the ’60s mob crime drama, Deadline reports. Shaw (3:10 to Yuma) will play Michael Chiklis’ wife.

Additionally, Wiseman will play Joey Rizzo, a hot-headed right-hand man of Chicago gangster Angelo Lombardi (Jonathan Banks).

The ’60s mob drama kicks off Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 10 p.m. ET.

Scandal‘s second season premieres Thursday, Sept. 27 at 10/9c on ABC.

According to TVLine, “New Girl” has added Anna Maria Horsford as Charmaine Bishop, Winston’s tough-as-nails mom who raised her children to become professional basketball players.

In addition, TVGuide reports CeCe is getting a new boyfriend, Robby. Robby is played Nelson Franklin, “Traffic Light” alum, is a genuinely good person, but a bad dancer who is deaf in one ear.

Season 2 of “New Girl” premieres on Tues., Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.

TVLine reports, Joe Manganiello will reprise his role as Brad, Marshall’s law school companion on the hit comedy series.

Manganiello joins previously announced Michael Trucco and Ashley Williams for a multi-episode arc on the upcoming season of “How I Met Your Mother.”

The comedy series continues Mon., Sept. 24.
