‘House of Lies’ Renewed for Fifth Season

The dramedy “House of Lies” starring Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell has been renewed.

“House of Lies” has received a renewal for a fifth season, Showtime announced Tuesday.

The fifth season of 10-episode is slated to air in 2016.

“When you have a gifted acting ensemble led by Don Cheadle and smart, acerbic writing led by showrunner Matthew Carnahan, you expect something special, and House of Lies delivers for us each season,” Gary Levine, executive vice president of original programming at Showtime, said in a statement.

Showtime Renews ‘Shameless’ & ‘House of Lies’

Showtime renews Shameless House of Lies and Californication

Showtime renews “House of Lies,”  and “Shameless” for additional seasons.

The cable network has ordered 12-episode new seasons of both “Shameless” and “House of Lies,” Showtime announced Tuesday. “Shameless” renewed for its fifth season, and “House of Lies” for its fourth season.

“House of Lies” and “Shameless” currently air Sundays on Showtime.

 

Cote de Pablo Leaving ‘NCIS’ And More Casting News

Cote De Pablo is leaving “NCIS.”

The actress, who plays Ziva David on “NCIS” will not return as a series regular for Season 11.

De Pablo said in a statement, “I’ve had 8 great years with “NCIS” and Ziva David. I have huge respect and affection for Mark, Gary, Michael, David, Rocky, Pauley, Brian, Sean, all of the team and CBS. I look forward to finishing Ziva’s story.”

“We respect Cote’s decision, thank her for being an important part of the NCIS team, and for eight terrific years playing Ziva David,” CBS said in a statement. “Cote and CBS share a great respect for the NCIS audience, and we look forward to working with her and the producers on appropriate closure in this chapter of Ziva’s story.”

“Lost” alumna Sonya Walger has been cast as Meredith in a recurring role on “Parenthood.” Meredith is described as a sexy, confident fireball of an architect who is working with Sam Jaeger’s Joel on a two-year project. “House of Lies” star Kristen Bell is heading to “Parks and Recreation.” Bell will guest-star in an upcoming episode as Ingrid, a snooty City Councilwoman from Eagleton. [EW]

Showtime Renews ‘House of Lies,’ ‘Californication’ and ‘Shameless’

Showtime renews Shameless House of Lies and Californication

“Shameless,” “House of Lies” and “Californication” will return in 2014.

Showtime has renewed “Californication,” for a seventh season; “Shameless” for a fourth season; and “House of Lies” for a third season, David Nevins, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc announced Tuesday.

“Californication, House of Lies, and Shameless possess highly distinctive comedic voices, and given that all three continue to grow their audience season after season – the pick-up decision was easy,” said Nevins. “I am incredibly excited to see what each of these series has in store for their next seasons.”

According to Showtime, all three series’ ratings are exceeding those of their previous seasons.

Matt Damon Heads to ‘House of Lies’ And More Casting News

Matt Damon is heading to “House of Lies.”

The Promise Land actor will play himself in an episode on the Showtime series, Showtime Entertainment president David Nevins announced Saturday at the TCA winter press tour.

Damon will seek the help of Marty (Cheadle) and his team in setting up a charitable organization to compete with George Clooney.

“House of Lies” season 2 premieres Sun. Jan., 13 on Showtime.

Adam Brody is heading to “House of Lies.”

“The O.C.” alum will guest star in two episodes of the Showtime’s comedy series, Showtime announced Thursday.

The fan favorite “O.C.” actor will play the owner of an adult toy company who forms a relationship with Kristen Bell’s character, Jeannie.

“House of Lies” returns Sun., Jan. 13 at 10 p.m. EST.

Lisa Edelstein is heading to “House of Lies.”

Showtime reports, the “House” alumna will guest star in a two episode arc on the comedy “House of Lies.” Edelstein will play Brynn, a smart and sexy political consultant whom Marty (Don Cheadle) encounters on one of his assignments.

“House of Lies” returns for a second season on Sunday, Jan. 13th at 10/9c.

A&E “Bates Motel” books “The Killing” actor Richard Harmon.

The Canadian-born actor has been cast in a love triangle with Norman Bates. Harmon will play Richard Slymore, in a recurring role. TVLine reports, Slymore is described as a “cool, intelligent and artsy” student at the high school Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore) attends in after he and his mother move to town.

Showtime Reveals ‘Shameless,’ ‘House Of Lies’ & ‘Californication’ Premiere Dates

Beginning January 13, Sundays are going to be very sinful.

Showtime has announced the premiere date of “Shameless,” “House Of Lies” and “Californication.” Kicking the night off is “Shameless” which premieres at 9/8c, “House Of Lies” premieres at 10/9c and “Californication” debuts at 10:30/9:30c.

“Shameless” picks up several months after the previous season ended with Jimmy (Justin Chatwin) moving in with the Gallaghers, and Fiona (Emmy Rossum) realizes that a GED will only get her so far and that a long-term relationship with Jimmy isn’t as fulfilling as she expected.  Meanwhile, Frank (William H. Macy) reappears south of the border with no idea as to how he got there.

On the upcoming season of “House Of Lies” Marty and Jeannie must deal with the fall-out from the big merger showdown.

David Duchovny returns as Hank Moody in the sixth season of “Californication.” Joining the season are “Lost” veterans Maggie Grace as a rock groupie who forms an unconventional bond with Hank. Jorge Garcia will also stop by the upcoming season as an old contact of Grace’s character.
