Fall TV: The CW Premiere Week to Begin in October

The Reign

The CW is rolling out its Fall schedule starting Oct. 7.

New series “The Tomorrow People” debuts Wed., Oct 9. The network’s mid-season premiere includes: “America’s Next Top Model: Guys and Girls,” “The 100,” “Star-Crossed” and “Nikita.”

‘OUAT’ Taps ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Alum And More Casting News

“X Files” and “Pretty Little Liars” alumna Annabeth Gish has booked a guest role on “Once.”

EW reports, Gish will play Anita, a beautiful and mysterious leader of a pack of humans, who like Red, turns out to be Wolves. The “X Files” alum will appear in the seventh episode of the upcoming second season.

‘Once Upon A Time’ Season 2 Premiere: ‘Broken’ Photos

“OUAT” premieres this Sunday, at 8/7c on ABC.

In other casting news…

“West Wing” alumna Stockard Channing has been cast to play Alicia’s unpredictable mother on “The Good Wife.” Channing will appear in at least one episode of the forthcoming season. [EW]

Gold medal-winning gymnast McKayla Maroney has been booked to play a high school student named, Tonya on “Hart Of Dixie.” [TVLine]

Claire Coffee, who plays Adalind on “Grimm”  has been promoted to a series regular. [TVLine]

Teri Polo (Meet the Parents) and Sherri Saum (One Life to Live) have been tapped to star in Jennifer Lopez’s “The Fosters.” The drama which follows a multi-ethnic family of foster and biological kids being raised by two moms.

Bernadette Peters will return to “Smash.” The Broadway veteran will return as Ivy’s (Megan Hilty) overbearing mother midway through the second season. [Vulture]

NBC’s musical competition series “The Voice” will launch a three-night premiere beginning Monday, Sept. 10 – Wednesday, Sept. 12.

NBC is developing a comedy series for Cee Lo Green. The sitcom will be based on “The Voice”‘s judge relationship with his ex-wife and kids. [EW]

Vinessa Shaw and Michael Wiseman Head to ‘Vegas’ And More Casting News


CBS’ new fall drama series “Vegas” has booked two recurring characters.

Vinessa Shaw and Michael Wiseman (The Closer) have been cast in the ’60s mob crime drama, Deadline reports. Shaw (3:10 to Yuma) will play Michael Chiklis’ wife.

Additionally, Wiseman will play Joey Rizzo, a hot-headed right-hand man of Chicago gangster Angelo Lombardi (Jonathan Banks).

The ’60s mob drama kicks off Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 10 p.m. ET.

Rusty Coones will play Quinn, the nomad president who has been mentioned since season 1 of “Sons of Anarchy.” [TVLine]

“Lost” alumni Jorge Garcia is set to guest star in “Once Upon A Time.” Garcia has been booked to play ‘The Giant.’ [EW]

“Unforgettable” vet Michael Gaston heads to ABC’s new drama “Last Resort.” Gaston will appear in a multi-episode arc as Kylie’s (Aurumn Reeser) father. [Deadline]

Kelen Coleman (The Newsroom) has tapped to recur in “Hart of Dixie”‘s second season. Coleman has booked to play Presley, a pretty but tomboyish love interest for George. [TVLine]


‘Hawaii Five-0’ Casts T.I. And More Casting News


Big names are coming to “Hawaii Five-0.”

Rapper T.I. joins previously announced Terrence Howard and Kendall Jenner as a guest star in the forthcoming season of “Hawaii Five-0.”

TVLine reports, the rapper is set to play a crime offender who appears via flashback in an Oct. episode.

Additionally, Arielle Kebbel (90210) and Robbie Amell (Revenge) have been booked to guest star in the CBS drama. According to TVLine, Kebbel and Amell are set to portray a couple who pays a fortune-teller a visit and faces “devastating consequences.”

“Hawaii Five-0” returns Mon., Sept 24 on CBS.

In other casting news…

Tessa Ferrer has been cast to recur in “Grey’s Anatomy.” Little is known about the actress’ character, but we are guessing Ferrer will intern at the another hospital. [TVLine]

Malin Akerman has been booked to appear in “Suburgatory” as Tessa’s mother. The Rock of Ages star is set to appear in the Thanksgiving and Christmas episodes of the upcoming season. [EW]

Garcelle Beauvais will portray Miranda, an owner of a radio station who has a crush on Dule in “Psych.” [TVLine]

Paloma Guzmán has been tapped to guest star on “Person of Interest.” The “Pretty Little Liars” vet will play a spoiled, smart daughter of a Brazilian diplomat.  [TVLine]

Michael Vartan is set to guest star on “Go On.” Vartan will play a hockey player who plays with Matthew Perry’s character. [TVLine]

Mircea Monroe will reprise her role as Tancy, Wade’s ex-wife for multi-episode arc in “Hart of Dixie.” [TVLine]

‘Reno 911’ Star Joins ‘HIMYM’ And More Casting News

Thomas Lennon has been tapped for the upcoming season of “How I Met Your Mother.”

EW reports, “Reno 911” alum Thomas Lennon will play Klaus, Victoria’s fiance on the forthcoming season of “How I Met Your Mother.” Victoria left Klaus at the altar before running away with Ted in the last season finale.

‘True Blood’ Star Heads to ‘How I Met Your Mother’

Lennon joins previously announced Manganiello, Michael Trucco and Ashley Williams.

The comedy series returns Mon., Sept. 24.

Dilshad Vadsaria (Greek) will recur as Padma on the ABC hit drama, “Revenge.” Padma is described as a gorgeous, intelligent, pop culture savvy financial genius who joins Nolan’s company. [TVLine]

Odette Annable will play a Native American assassin on Cinemax’s upcoming series “Banshee.” The “House” alum will appear in a multi-episode arc. [TVLine]

Fall Scoop: CW Fall Premiere Dates Announced

CW has revealed its fall premiere dates for its returning and new series. All series do not return until October.

“Hart of Dixie” kick things off, with a second season premiere on Tues., Oct. 2nd. The final season of “Gossip Girl” will premiere on Oct. 8 at 9/8c. Meanwhile, new series “Arrow” will premiere on Oct 10, while “Beauty and the Beast” premieres the next day on Oct 11.

Rounding up the list is Tyra’s reality series, “America’s Next Top Model: College Edition,” and “Nikita” which are set to premiere Friday, October 19.

The network’s most anticipated “Sex and the City” prequel, “The Carrie Diaries,” and “Cult”  debut midseason.

CW network released its fall/spring primetime schedule for 2012-2013. The big changes?

“Supernatural” moves to Wednesdays following “Arrow,” a new DC Comics series. While “America’s Next Top Model” pairs up with “Nikita” on Fridays.

Also swapping timeslots are “Hart of Dixie,” and “90210.” “Hart of Dixie” heads to Tuesdays, while “90210” moves to Mondays, an hour before the last season of “Gossip Girl.”

“Arrow,” After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel’s father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver’s own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine.

“Beauty and the Beast,” Detective Catherine Chandler is a smart, no-nonsense homicide detective. When she was a teenager, Catherine witnessed the murder of her mother at the hands of two gunmen. Catherine would have been killed too, but someone – or something – saved her. No one has ever believed her, but she knows it wasn’t an animal that attacked the assassins…it was human. Years have passed, and Catherine is a strong, confident, capable police officer, working alongside her equally talented partner, Tess. While investigating a murder, Catherine discovers a clue that leads her to a handsome doctor named Vincent Keller, who was reportedly killed by enemy fire while serving in Afghanistan in 2002. Catherine learns that Vincent is actually still alive and that it was he who saved her many years before. For mysterious reasons that have forced him to live outside of traditional society, Vincent has been in hiding for the past 10 years to guard his secret – when he is enraged, he becomes a terrifying beast, unable to control his super-strength and heightened senses. Catherine agrees to protect his identity in return for any insight he may have into her mother’s murder. Thus begins a complex relationship between Catherine and Vincent, who are powerfully drawn to each other yet understand that their connection is extremely dangerous for both of them.

“Emily Owens, M.D.,” At long last, Emily Owens feels like she is an actual grown-up. She can finally put her high school days as the geeky-girl-with-flop-sweats behind her; she’s graduated from medical school and is now a first-year intern at Denver Memorial Hospital, where she’ll have the chance to work with world-famous cardiologist Dr. Gina Beckett – and where, not-so-coincidentally, her med-school crush Will Rider is also an intern. So why does everyone keep warning her that the hospital is just like high school? Emily soon finds out the hard way – her high school nemesis, the gorgeous, popular Cassandra Kopelson, is also just starting out at Denver Memorial, and it seems like they’re rivals all over again – not only as surgical interns, but for Will’s attention. Fellow intern Tyra Granger warns Emily that the cliques at Denver Memorial are all too familiar: the jocks have become orthopedic surgeons; the mean girls are in plastics; the rebels are in the ER, and Tyra has her own awkward place as the principal’s kid – her father is the chief resident. Emily’s the new kid all over again, and it’s just as awkward as high school. Only this time around, Emily will have to balance the personal and emotional turmoil of social politics with the high-stakes world of life-and-death medical decisions. At least she has fellow intern Tyra and nerdy-but-cute resident Micah, to count on as friends. Emily is growing to realize that although she may be a geek, she may also grow to be a great doctor, flop sweats and all.

Hi beautiful people! Missed me? Well, a lot happened in our TV world last week, some series were cancelled, some were picked up, while others were picked up for a shorter and last season. First, “Desperate Housewives” series finale airs tonight. Will you watch the final episodes? Vote in the poll below and check out the preview of the last two episodes.

Lifetime order a reality show starring Whitney Houston’s family, “Houston Family Chronicles” according to Huffington. Bobbie Kristina, Cissy, Pat Houston, Pat’s daughter, Rayah, and Gary Houston will be featured in the series. The one-hour reality show is set to premiere sometime in 2012. Will you watch the reality series?

The second season of ‘Suits’ premieres June 14 on USA Network. But first check out the video below for season one recap.

“Long Island Medium” was picked up for a third season by TLC

“Cougar Town” is moving to TBS! Courtney Cox’s series was picked for a season by the cable network. The fourth season will air early 2013 and consist of 15 episodes.

“Happy Endings” was renewed by ABC for a third season.

“Last Man Standing” was also renewed by ABC.

“Law And Order: SVU” was picked up for a fourteenth season.

HBO renewed its freshman comedies “Veep” and “Girls” for a second season for ten episode orders.

“Two and a Half Men” was renewed for a tenth season.

All Shonda Rhimes series “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Private Practice,” and “Scandal” were renewed.

Also renewed by ABC are “Castle,” “Once Upon a Time,” “Body of Proof,” “Apartment 23” “DWTS,” “The Bachelor,” “Shark Tank”and “Revenge.”

“Nikita,” & “Hart Of Dixie” renewed by CW. “Gossip Girl” was also picked up a shorter and last season.

“30 Rock” renewed for a final and short season.

And “Touch,” was renewed For Season 2.
