‘Glee’ Will End After Next Season

GLEE-large300

Sorry Gleeks: The next season of “Glee” will be its last.

The upcoming sixth season will be the dramedy final season, the series creator, Ryan Murphy shared during Paley Center event on Wednesday.

In the wake of Cory Monteith’s death, Murphy says he had to “figure out” the series finale. In addition, he has a “good idea” for a new ending, and it’s will “honor” Monteith (Finn).

“The final year of the show, which will be next year, was designed around Rachel and Cory/Finn’s story. I always knew that, I always knew how it would end. I knew what the last shot was – he was in it. I knew what the last line was – she said it to him. So when a tragedy like that happens you sort of have to pause and figure out what you want to do, so we’re figuring that out now.”
