Benjamin Bratt Joins ’24: Live Another Day,’ Watch ‘Walking Dead’ New Promo And More!

2011 American Music Awards - ArrivalsBenjamin Bratt has been added to “24: Live Another Day.” The “Private Practice” alumni will play Steve Harris, the head of CIA operations tracking Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) in London.

“Real Time With Bill Maher” received a 13th season renewal ahead of its season 12 premiere.

Kyle Chandler is heading to Netflix. “Friday Night Lights” actor has been cast to star in Netflix’s new thriller-untitled series from “Damages'” creators  Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman and Glenn Kessle.

Jurnee Smollett and Amelia Rose are heading to Bon Temps.

“Friday Night Lights” alumna Jurnee Smollett has joined the vampire drama as a series regular and “90210’s” Amelia Rose Blaire has been nabbed to recur in the upcoming season, according to TVLine.

Smollett will play optimist Nicole, who is concerned with doing the right thing versus doing something for compensation. Meanwhile, Blaire will play Willa, Louisiana Governor Truman Burrell’s (Arliss Howard) daughter, who disagrees with her father over vampire rights.

Dave Annable has been cast in FOX’s comedy series “Ben and Kate.” The actor of ABC’s cancelled drama “666 Park Avenue” will play a  hot college professor. [TV Guide]

Maggie Smith Returns To ‘Downton Abbey’ And More Casting News

The Dowager Countess will be back for another season at least.

According to TVLine, Sunday’s Golden Globe winner for Best Actress in a TV Drama Series Maggie Smith will return to “Downton Abbey” for season 4.

“Downton Abbey” airs Sundays, 9 p.m. EST on PBS.

“Friday Night Lights” vet Jurnee Smollett has been cast to appear on “Do No Harm.” Smollett will appear in three episode-arc of the drama as Phylicia Rashad’s character’s daughter. [TVLine]

Scott Foley is heading to “Scandal” for a guest star role. However, details surrounding his role are being kept under warps. Foley is expected to appear in a major arc in the series. [TVLine]

“Under the Dome” has cast Colin Ford as its first series regular. Ford will play Joe, a teen who lives in the small town that gets placed under the dome in the new CBS series based on Stephen King’s book. [THR]

“Private Practice’s” alumna Audra McDonald  has booked a guest role on “The Good Wife.” McDonald will play Alicia’s enemy from their Georgetown Law School days. McDonald is only slated for one episode at the moment, but will possibly have an arc. [THR]

Fall TV: Watch ‘Nashville’ Pilot Online

“Nashville” series debut might be a week away, but thanks to Hulu, the pilot is available online now.

Every network, including ABC has shared its fall pilots online a few weeks before their debut. “Last Resort’s” pilot was released a couple weeks ago via Yahoo, therefore releasing “Nashville’s” pilot a week before its series debut is no surprise.

Connie Britton (“Friday Night Lights,” “American Horror Story”), Hayden Panettiere (“Heroes”), Charles Esten (“Enlightened,” “Big Love”), Eric Close (“Without a Trace”) and Clare Bowen star in one of the most anticipated new drama series.

Connie Britton plays a legendary country queen, Rayna Jaymes, whose music career is slipping away. In order to be number one once again, her producers offer her to work with Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere), the sassy, young and sexy newcomer of country music. Can these two divas work together. Watch the pilot below.

“Nashville” premieres Oct. 10 at 10/9c on ABC.

Doug Jones & ‘ER’ Alums Join ‘Falling Skies’ And More Casting News

“Falling Skies” season 3 doesn’t premiere until 2013 below are some interesting casting news.

According to EW, Doug Jones has been tapped to play the new humanized alien who was introduced at the second season finale of “Falling Skies.”

Also joining the cast of TNT’s Sci-fi drama are “ER” alums Gloria Reuben and Robert Sean Leonard.  Deadline reports, Leonard will portray Roger Kadar, PhD, a genius also know as “The Rat King.” Kadar runs Charleston’s power grid and lives underground with his pet rats.

Meanwhile, Gloria Reuben will play an intelligent woman with “political knowledge and experience [that] could prove extremely helpful to Tom.”

Both actors will recur in a five-episode arc of “Falling Skies”‘s upcoming season.

Maulik Pancholy, who starred as Neal on “Whitney” will reprise his role as Jack Donaghy’s (Alec Baldwin) assistant Jonathan on NBC comedy series “30 Rock.” [TV Guide]

Mädchen Amick will guest-star in The CW new series “Beauty and Beast.” The “Twin Peaks” vet will play Lois, a wealthy polo-club president. [TVLine]

Denise Richards has been cast as Gwen in “90210”‘s 100th episode. Gwen is described as a “sexy West Beverly High School Alum turned wealthy socialite.” [EW]

“Tank Girl” vet Tori Petty will cross paths with Fiona and Steve as Valerie in Showtime’s “Shameless.” [TV Guide]

The Campaign star, Thomas Middleditch has been cast as Jeb, Dwight’s younger brother on “The Office, TVLine reports. In addition, Matt Jones has been tapped to play Dwight’s mysterious cousin Zeke. [THR]

“The West Wing” alum, Timothy Busfield has landed a guest role on Fox’s new crime drama, “The Mob Doctor.” Busfield is set to guest star as John Ellis, s a dirty congressman. Joining the TV vet in a guest role is “Friday Night Lights” alum Jurnee Smollett. She will play a pregnant prostitute. [TV Guide]

“Men at Work” has tapped Maz Jobrani (Better Off Ted) to appear as an owner of a Lebanese chicken restaurant who becomes Gibbs’ friend. [TVLine]

Brooklyn Silzer is set to Lucy, Danny and Lindsay’s daughter on “CSI: NY.” Twins Nadia and Talia Hartounian previously played Lucy. [TV Guide]

‘Blue Bloods’ Hires Sebastian Sozzi and More Casting News

Jamie Reagan is getting a new partner.

Sebastian Sozzi (My Generation) will recur as Vinny Cruz, Reagan’s new partner. Cruz is described as a fast-talking, charismatic cop from a tough precinct. Sozzi will debut on “Blue Bloods” Oct. 5.

Meanwhile, Michael Madsen will guest-star as John, a professional criminal who was just released from prison. Madsen is set to guest-star on “Blue Bloods” Friday, Oct. 5.

CBS Fall Premiere Dates Revealed

According to EW, Peter Herman has been cast as Erin’s ex. Jack Boyle appearance will cause a stir for Nicky, Erin and the Reagan family. Herman will appear in the third episode of the upcoming season.

TVLine reports Melissa Benoist (Homeland) and Becca Tobin will recur as freshmen on “Glee”‘s upcoming season. Benoist will play Marley and Tobin will recur as Kitty.

Ray Romano to Join ‘Parenthood’

Chris O’Donnell, LL Cool J, Daniela Ruah and Eric Christian Olsen real-life mothers will appear in an episode of “NCIS: Los Angeles.”

Josh Stamberg will guest-star on “Criminal Minds.” Stamberg is set to appear in season 8′s third episode, “Through the Looking Glass.”

Jim O’Heir (Parks and Recreation) will guest star in the season premiere of “The Mentalist” as a hotel manager.

Casting Scoop: ‘The Voice,’ ‘Mob Doctor’ and More

On the upcoming third season of “The Voice,” Adam Levine’s group will be getting some advice from Mary J. Blige.

Rolling Stone reports, the R&B singer has joined Adam Levine’s team as an adviser. Mary J. Blige commented, “I love Adam, he’s amazing. I’m so happy to be working with him and his team.” Just last week Micheal Buble joined Blake Shelton’s team, the remaining advisers are yet to be announced.

“The Voice” is set to premiere Mon, Sept 10 at 8/7c on NBC.

Kevin Corrigan is joining FOX’s new drama series, “The Mob Doctor,” EW reports. The “Fringe” alum will recur as Titus Amato, “a clean-cut, business-casual mobster.” The Hollywood Reporter reports, Terry Kinney is also joining the series. The actor will play Salvatore, Amato’s brother.

A new young doctor will grace the halls of Seattle Grace. “Friday Night Lights” alum Gaius Charles will recur in Season 9 of “Grey’s Anatomy.” Charles will play a young doctor, however TVLine reports information of his character are still under wraps.

Ryan Rottman has joined “The Lying Game” in a recurring role. TVGuide reports Rottman will play Jordan, a handsome, confident teen  with a secret agenda, from Beverly Hills. “90210” alum is set to appear in the second season premiere.

‘Lost’ Alum Elizabeth Mitchell Joins ‘Revolution & More Casting News

“Lost” star, Elizabeth Mitchell has joined executive producer J.J. Abrams on NBC new show “Revolution.”

Mitchell will portray Rachel Matheson, the mother of Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Danny Matheson (Graham Rogers).

More “Revolution” casting mews, “Friday Night Lights” star, Daniella Alonso has joined the cast of “Revolution” as Nora, reports EW. Nora is described as “rebel fighter, battling against the militia that controls North America.” She has a lot of ‘rough water under the bridge with Miles, Billy Burke’s character.” Alonso’s character also like to blow stuff up.

‘”Revolution”  premieres Monday, Sept. 17 at 10/9c.

Marin Hinkle has been made a series regular on NBC’s “Infamous.” Hinkle will play the wife of the Lawsons’ oldest child (Tate Donovan). [Deadline]

Erinn Hayes has also joined NBC’s “Guys With Kids,” as a series regular. The actress will play Shelia, an ambitious attorney who is Chris’ (Jesse Bradford) ex-wife. The divorced couple share custody of their 9-month-old son. The series debuts Wed., Sept. 12 at 10/9c. [EW]

The full cast of “Community” will be back for season 4. Yes, you read it right. Despite the conflict with the previous showrummer, Dan Harmon, the cast: Joel McHale, Danny Pudi, Gillian Jacobs, Alison Brie, Yvette Nicole Brown, Donald Glover, Jim Rash, Ken Jeong and Chevy Chase will be back this fall for a fourth season premiere on Friday, Oct 19 at 8:30 p.m. ET.

TVLine reports ABC’s “666 Park Avenue”  has promoted guest-star, Erik Palladino to a series regular. Palladino guest-starred as a doorman, Tony DeMeo in the forthcoming pilot. The premiere date hasn’t been announced yet.

Lastly, “Secret Circle” star, Chris Zylka has landed a gig on FX’s “American Horror Story.” The actor will play Daniel, “the most beautiful boy in the world,” who is deaf-mute.

“Friday Night Lights” is not over until it hits the big screen. The famous NBC drama revolved around a high school football team is coming to a theater near you soon. The script has been written, all that is left is to get the original cast on board, and filming will begin. On to more exciting news, Syfy’s “Lost Girl” season two will air immediately after season one is concluded. Season two will premiere a week after season one finale, on April 16, and it will consists of 22 episodes, ten episodes more than season one.

Do you want to learn more about your favorite celebrities – T-Pain, Akon, Nas, Brandy, Pitbull, and Game. “Behind The Music” returns Thursday, March 15 at 9 p.m. ET on VH1.

Our favorite “Basketball Wives” – fiancé , ex-wives, baby mamas’, and ex-girlfriends – are back for a fourth season! It seems Meeka Claxton is no longer on the show, but there are few new cast members this season. Kenya Bell, Charlie Bell’s soon-to-be ex-wife, and Kesha Nichols, Richard Jefferson’s ex-fiancé. There also seems to be a lot of hostility between Evelyn and Jennifer, all i have to say is, what happened to the circle? Well we will find out this Monday, until then I will leave you with the preview, take a peek.

“Basketball Wives” premieres on Feb. 20 at 8 p.m. ET on VH1.

Also premiering this week are “Khloe and Lamar,” and “Ice Loves Coco.” Season two of “Khloe and Lamar” follows the married couple as they move and begin their journey in Dallas, Tx. On this season of “Ice loves Coco,” it seems Coco got the baby blues. It is all about love on Sundays on E! These reality shows return this Sunday, Feb. 19, on E! “Khloe and Lamar” premiere at 9 pm CST, while “Ice and Coco” premieres immediately at 9:30 pm CST.

For more reality series premiering this week click here. Now enough with the premiers, I know I said I’ve got only exciting news this week, well I’ve also got some sad news. “Criminal Minds:” Paget Brewster will not be returning next season on the CBS hit drama. After six years portraying her character Emily Prentiss, Brewster tweeted “it is time for something new.”
