‘Bones’ Adds Mather Zickel & Freddie Prinze Jr. And More Casting News

Mather Zickel, “House of Lies” actor has joined “Bones'” forthcoming season. Zickel is joining the ninth season as Aldo Coulter, an ex-priest who has a history with Booth (David Boreanaz).

Aldo Coulter was Booth’s “ex-confessor when he was a sniper in the Rangers,” according to TVLine.

In addition, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” alum Freddie Prinze Jr. has been booked in a (potential) multi-episode arc opposite Booth. TVLine reports.

Prinze will play Danny, an armed and dangerous CIA covert agent, who is an old associate of Booth’s.

“Alphas” actor Warren Christie will appear in the second episode of the coming season of “Castle” as Brad Parker, a reporter who discovers implications for national security.  [EW] Meanwhile, “24” vet  Michael Reed, will guest star as a former general who’s fighting to keep secrets from his past under wraps. [TVGuide]

Henry Winkler, “Happy Days” vet has been cast on “Parks and Rec.” The actor has been booked for a guest appearance as Jean-Ralphio’s father on season 6 premiere. [The Hollywood Reporter]

“Pretty Little Liars” actress Vanessa Ray is joining “Blue Bloods.” The actress has been cast as Edit “Eddie” Janko, a rookie cop who is Jamie Reagan’s “fresh” new partner. [TVLine]

Merritt Wever will be return to “New Girl” for at least two episodes. “Nurse Jackie” actress will reprise her role as Elizabeth, Schmidt’s college girlfriend and current girlfriend as of the season finale. [EW]

‘Django Unchained’ Actor to Host ‘SNL’ And More Casting News

Christoph Waltz

Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominated Django Unchained actor Christoph Waltz will make his “Saturday Night Live” hosting on February 16, NBC announced Wednesday.

Waltz, who won an Oscar for his role Inglourious Basterds, will be joined by musical guest Alabama Shakes.

“Saturday Night Live” returns from a one-week hiatus on Feb. 9 with a new episode hosted by Justin Bieber will serve as the host and musical guest on Feb. 9.

Michael Urie (“Partners”) will guest star as an in-demand wedding planner on “Hot In Cleveland.” [EW]

Jamie Dornan will re-appear on “Once Upon A Time.” Dornan will reprise his role as Sheriff Graham on the ABC drama series. [TV Guide]

Bridesmaids Wendi McLendon-Covey will recur on Showtime’s new series “Masters of Sex.” McLendon will portray a human sexuality-centric series as a formidable female doctor who is a mentor to Lizzy Caplan’s leading lady. [Deadline]

Eric Mabius is heading to “Blue Bloods.” Mabius has been cast to guest star as Richard Rourke, a multi-millionaire philanthropist, on the drama series. [TVLine]

‘Blue Bloods’ Hires Sebastian Sozzi and More Casting News

Jamie Reagan is getting a new partner.

Sebastian Sozzi (My Generation) will recur as Vinny Cruz, Reagan’s new partner. Cruz is described as a fast-talking, charismatic cop from a tough precinct. Sozzi will debut on “Blue Bloods” Oct. 5.

Meanwhile, Michael Madsen will guest-star as John, a professional criminal who was just released from prison. Madsen is set to guest-star on “Blue Bloods” Friday, Oct. 5.

CBS Fall Premiere Dates Revealed

According to EW, Peter Herman has been cast as Erin’s ex. Jack Boyle appearance will cause a stir for Nicky, Erin and the Reagan family. Herman will appear in the third episode of the upcoming season.

TVLine reports Melissa Benoist (Homeland) and Becca Tobin will recur as freshmen on “Glee”‘s upcoming season. Benoist will play Marley and Tobin will recur as Kitty.

Dean Geyer and Jacob Artist Join ‘Glee

Matt Lauria (Friday Night Lights) will join NBC drama “Parenthood” in a recurring role. The “FNL” alum will play a soldier returning from Afghanistan who finds a friend in fellow war veteran Zeek (Craig T. Nelson). [TVLine]

Ray Romano to Join ‘Parenthood’

Chris O’Donnell, LL Cool J, Daniela Ruah and Eric Christian Olsen real-life mothers will appear in an episode of “NCIS: Los Angeles.”

Josh Stamberg will guest-star on “Criminal Minds.” Stamberg is set to appear in season 8′s third episode, “Through the Looking Glass.”

Jim O’Heir (Parks and Recreation) will guest star in the season premiere of “The Mentalist” as a hotel manager.

‘Game of Thrones’: 14 Roles Join the Series

Iwan Rheon (Misfits) will be playing Boy on the upcoming season of “Game of Thrones.” [Huff Post TV]

CBS 2012-2013 Lineup Revealed: ‘2 Broke Girls,’ Heads To A New Time, & More.

TV most watched network, CBS unveiled it fall/spring lineup.

The changes? “2 Broke Girls,” “Two And A Half Men,” “CSI: NY,” “The Mentalist” all move to a new time. “2 Broke Girls” season two will premiere an hour later on Mondays. The tenth season of “Two And A Half Men” will air on Thursdays. “CSI: NY” and “The Mentalist” were also moved to a new time slot.

CBS picks up four new shows, three dramas “Vegas,” “Elementary,” “Made In Jersey” and a new comedy show “Partners.” These shows will premiere this fall while “Golden Boy,” “Friend Me,” and “The Job” will debut during midseason.

Weekly TV News: ‘Luck,’ CBS, & Showtime.

Hi guys!! A lot occurred in our TV world this week. I’ve got some sad news to share and some great news. First the sad news:

HBO cancels “Luck” after the third Horse died, last Wednesday during production. Although, the series was renewed for a second season a few days after the series premiered in January.

Rosie O’Donnell’s “The Rosie Show,” 7 p.m. talk show on OWN has been canceled after just five months on air.

Discovery’s “Man vs. Wild” has also been cancelled.

Are you sad to see these shows cancelled?

It is never too early to start planning your fall line-up. Showtime announced Monday, that “Homeland” and “Dexter” will return Sun, Sept 30. The seventh season of “Dexter” premieres at 9/8c, while “Homeland” second season premieres an hour later at 10/9c. Also announced this week, Season 8 of “Weeds” and Season 2 of “Episodes” kick off Sunday, July 1, at 10 p.m. EST.

VH1 to air a two-hour Wedding special for “Basketball Wives” Evelyn Lozada and Chad Ochocinco. The engaged couple will star in a spin-off show called,”Ev and Ocho.” The show includes eight, 30-minutes episodes on VH1. “Ev and Ocho” will document the days leading up to the big finale, the Wedding. Did you see this coming?

The award-winning  Gospel singers, Mary Mary’s reality series is set to premiere March 29 at 9c on WE tv. The series “Mary Mary” will show the challenges the sisters face as they balance their roles as wives, mothers, and singers. “Mary Mary” premieres in a special time-slot on Thursday, Mar. 29 at 10|9c. The reality show will then air in its regular time-slot Thursdays at 9|8c beginning April 5, with ten, hour-long episodes. Click here for the sneak peek.

E! picked up Dina Eastwood reality series, “Mrs. Eastwood and Company”. The reality show will follow the life and career of Dina, Clint Eastwood’s wife and his two teenage daughters, Francesca and Morgan. “Mrs. Eastwood and Company” reality series kicks off on Sun. May 20.

A couple of reality series are premiering this week. “La La’s Full Court Life” starts Mon, March 19 at 9 p.m. EST on VH1, while “Styled by June” kicks off at 9:30 p.m. EST on VH1. Click Here  for “La La’s Full Court” trailer.

Some early renewals were announced this week, NBC renewed its freshman series, “Grimm.” While CBS renewed eighteen shows on its schedule.
