Sorry Gladiators, Jake Ballard is here to stay.
Scott Foley, who plays Jake Ballard on ABC’s “Scandal” has been upped to a series regular ahead of the third season premiere, according to Entertainment Weekly.
“I’m thrilled to join such a talented, enthusiastic and professional group of people,” Foley said in a statement. “Shonda [Rhimes] and company have created a troupe of layered complex characters and to be able to be part of that is both exciting and humbling.”
Foley joined “Scandal” mid-season, towards the end of season 2 as Jake, Olivia’s love interest, an MI6 Agent and the President’s Friend.
“Scandal” returns this fall on ABC.
