‘The Office’ to End After Nine Seasons

The Office

NBC is pulling the reins on “The Office.”

Greg Daniels, the showrunner of “The Office” told reporters on a conference call that this will be the show’s final season: “This year feels like the last chance to … make an artistic ending for the show, This will be the last season of “The Office,” and we’re planning a big exciting last season.” Daniels stated “all questions will be answered this year. We’re going to see who’s behind the documentary … Now that we know we have an end date we can blow things up and take some chances and it will be very freeing, creatively.”

“There’s so much to pay off after nine seasons,” Daniels added. “My biggest concern is just packing in all these great ideas the writing staff has and make sure we squeeze as many as we can into the ending.”

The final season of “The Office” airs Thurs, Sept. 20 at 9/8c p.m.
