Meet The Cast Of ‘Survivor: Philippines’

Yesterday, CBS revealed the cast of “Survivor”‘s 25th season.

Lisa Whelchel aka Blair Warner from “The Facts of Life,” former National League MVP Jeff Kent of the San Francisco Giants, 13 new contestants and a trio of former players – Michael Skupin, Russell Swan and Jonathan Penner — whom were medically evacuated in past seasons would compete for the million dollars and the title of Survivor.

For the first time in eight years, “Survivor: Philippines” will split the contestants into three tribes, which are named after animals in the region: Kalabaw (“Water Buffalo”), Tandang (“Rooster”) and Matsing (“Monkey”). In Immunity challenges, the three tribes will battle for first and second place to be granted immunity, with the third-place tribe heading to Tribal Council to eliminate a team member.

The 13 new contestants heading to Philippines include a tire repair, former Miss Delaware, sex therapist and a lesbian cosmetologist.

‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ Moving To An Earlier Time-slot In January


ABC late night show, “Jimmy Kimmel Live” is going head-to-head with NBC “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and CBS “Late Show with David Letterman.”

The network announced Tuesday that “Jimmy Kimmel Live” will move to 11:35 p.m., a time-slot held by “Nightline.” The late show will debut on its new time-slot on Jan. 8.

Anne Sweeney, co-chair of Disney Media Networks and president of Disney/ABC Television Group, said in a statement, “Given the passionate fan base ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ has built over the past decade and the show’s ratings and creative momentum this season, the time is right to make this move.”

In addition to the new time-slot, “Nightline” will move to 9 pm on Fridays, starting March 1.


‘The Office’ to End After Nine Seasons

NBC is pulling the reins on “The Office.”

Greg Daniels, the showrunner of “The Office” told reporters on a conference call that this will be the show’s final season: “This year feels like the last chance to … make an artistic ending for the show, This will be the last season of “The Office,” and we’re planning a big exciting last season.” Daniels stated “all questions will be answered this year. We’re going to see who’s behind the documentary … Now that we know we have an end date we can blow things up and take some chances and it will be very freeing, creatively.”

“There’s so much to pay off after nine seasons,” Daniels added. “My biggest concern is just packing in all these great ideas the writing staff has and make sure we squeeze as many as we can into the ending.”

The final season of “The Office” airs Thurs, Sept. 20 at 9/8c p.m.

‘Game of Thrones’ Adds Ed Skrein and Jacob Anderson And More Casting News

According to EW, Ed Skrein has been cast as Daario Naharis, the handsome and harsh captain of a company of soldiers called The Stormcrows on “Game of Thrones.”

Additionally, Jacob Anderson has been cast as Grey Worm, the leader of the group of slave soldiers Unsullied.

The third season of “Game of Thrones” premieres Mar., 31 2013.
