Kate Walsh confirms the upcoming sixth season of “Private Practice” will be her last.
Shocked? Not, actually.
The news comes as a shock to the audience. But Walsh’s departure has been speculated for weeks. Kate Walsh has played Dr., Addison Montgomery on “Private Practice,” a character spun from “Grey’s Anatomy for seven years.
Walsh said, “This is my last season for ‘Private Practice.” ‘The actress made the announcement on Bethenny Frankel’s new talk show, “Bethenny.” “It’s been an incredible journey an amazing ride. I’m hugely, hugely grateful. It’s been a long time being Addison,” she continues. “I feel incredibly grateful to Shonda Rhimes and all the fans that have been there from Day 1 to now. I’m really excited about the last season.”
Walsh isn’t the only star leaving “Private Practice.” Walsh’s co-star, Tim Daly (Pete Wilder) announced his exit from PP on twitter in May.
The next season of “Private Practice,” which was renewed for 13 episodes will air Tues., 10/9c p.m. on ABC.
